Alex Brooks, Blackburn Rovers

Alex Brooks joined AFC Fylde at the beginning of 2017 after leaving Manchester City Women. Earlier in her career Alex had signed her first professional contract with Manchester City Women in February 2015. She joined the Blues at the age of eight and was delighted to put pen to paper on a senior deal, telling the official website she still has to pinch herself to believe just how far she’s come.

Alex made her debut for the FA Women’s Super League newcomers in the 2014 Continental Cup-winning campaign, producing an excellent display against league leaders Chelsea in a 2-1 win.

Currently training as an understudy to Karen Bardsley, Alex hopes to progress further to become the very best in the future. Around her training, she also coaches for City in the Community part-time. Alex joined Everton on a season-long loan deal ahead of the 2016 WSL campaign.
